immergrüner, kleiner Strauch mit überhängenden Zweigen und wechselständig angeordneten Blättern, bestehend aus paarig angeordneten, großen ovalen, mittel- bis tiefgrünen Blättern und gesägten Blatträndern. Die hell- bis violettblauen Blüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich bei Reife kleine orangefarbene Früchte
