immergrüner, mittelgroßer Baum bis zu 20 m mit gekritzelter weiß, grau oder gelber, sich schälender Rinde in kurzen Bändern, wechselständig angeordneten, dicken, bis zu 15 cm langen und 1,5 cm breiten, elliptisch, lanzettlich bis schmal-lanzettlichen oder grau-grünen, sichelförmig gebogenen Blättern (im Jugendstadium, breit-lanzettlich bis lanzettlich, matt grau-grün). Die ca. 1 cm großen weißen oder cremefarbenen Blüten erscheinen in 5-12 blütigen Büscheln in den Blattachseln
