immergrüner Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis zu 4 m mit grau-brauner Rinde und wechselständig angeordneten, gestielten, bi zu 11 cm langen und 3 cm breiten, breit lanzettlichen bis lanzettlichen, dunkel blau-grauen Blättern (im Jugendstadium gestielt, ca. 11 cm lang, oval bis breit lanzettlich) mit auffällig heller Mittelrippe. Die hellgelben bis grünlich-gelben Blüten erscheinen in vielblütigen Büscheln in den Blattachseln
