immergrüner, mittelgroßer bis hoher, oftmals mehrstämmiger Strauch oder Baum bis ca. 20 m mit dichter Krone, wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 9 cm langen, lanzettlichen, hellgrünen Blättern mit kaum erkennbarer Nervatur. Die ca. 1,5 cm großen, weißen bis cremefarbenen Blüten erscheinen in vielblütigen Büscheln in den Blattachseln
