caudexbildender Ranker bis ca. 4 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, herzförmigen, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern und kleinen, sternförmigen, gelben Blüten in langen hängenden Rispen. Im Alter sieht die Oberfläche des Caudex einem Schildkrötenpanzer ähnlich!
