immergrüner, verholzender Ranker (Liane) bis zu 8 m oder hoher Strauch mit bis zu 12 cm langen und 4 cm breiten, gegenständig angeordneten, eiförmigen, spitzzulaufenden, glänzend sattgrünen Blättern. Die großen, bis zu 20 cm langen, strahlend weißen oder gelben Blüten mit schmalen Petalen erscheinen in den Blattachseln und am Ende der Triebe in lockeren Büchseln
