Dear plant and garden enthusiasts,
Over many years, we have had the pleasure of accompanying you on your gardening journey with exotic seed rarities and plants from around the world. Watching things grow together has brought us great joy. But every project has its time—and for us, the moment has come to step back. Due to health reasons, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to permanently close the sunshine-seeds.de online shop and enter our well-deserved retirement. This decision was not an easy one for us. However, our health now requires our full attention. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your many years of loyalty, the trust you have placed in us, and your enthusiasm for our green rarities! Important information regarding the shop closure:
Our shop will remain open until September 30, 2026.
The last day to place an order is September 25, 2026. Please feel free to use this time to secure your favorite seeds one last time.
Processing: All paid orders received by September 25, 2026, will, of course, be processed, packed, and shipped reliably as usual.

laubabwerfender oder immergrüner, zweihäusiger Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis zu 5 m (am Naturstandort bis zu 20 m) und gegenständig angeordneten, gestielten, bis zu 12 cm langen und 6,5 cm breiten, elliptischen, manchmal ovalen oder verkehrt eiförmigen, ledrigen, tiefgrünen Blättern mit gesägten Blatträndern. Die süßlich duftenden, weißen Blüten erscheinen in bis zu 8 cm langen Rispen. Aus den weiblichen Blüten entwickeln sich ca. 1,5 cm große, eiförmige, bei Reife blau-schwarze Früchte

Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 20-25°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: until germination takes place
Irrigation: in the growing season regularly water + let dry between watering
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites, Scale insects > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + 2/3 sand or perlite
Culture: ca. 1-2 years bright at about 0-5°C in cold greenhouse + keep slightly moist only
Overwintering: After this time period older specimens can be planted outdoors.
