immergrüner, milchsaftführender Strauch bis zu 2 m mit gegenständig angeordneten lanzettlichen, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern.  Die ca. 1 cm großen, weiß-rosafarbenen Blüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln, gefolgt von hängenden, olivengroßen, bei Reife orangefarbenen Früchten
