Synonyme: Moringa pterygosperma, Moringa moringa, Guilandina moringa, Moringa aptera

laubabwerfender, kleiner Baum bis ca. 15 m mit korkartiger Rinde, überhängenden, zerbrechlichen Zweigen und wechselständig angeordneten, 2 bis 3-fach gefiederten bis zu 60 cm langen, hellgrünen Blättern, bestehend aus paarig angeordneten, bis zu 2 cm langen, ovalen Blättchen und einem endständigen Blatt. Die stark nach Honig duftenden, creme-weiße Blüten mit gelben Staubblättern erscheinen in bis zu 1,2 m langen Trauben. Die ebenso langen Trauben trockener Hülsen enthalten ca. 20 ölhaltige Samen die zur Parfümherstellung, wie auch zur Wasserreinigung genutzt werden. Die Wurzeln und Blätter sind für Mensch und Tier eßbar. Das Holz dient hervorragend als Brennholz

Irrigation: in the growing season moderate water + let dry between watering
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + 2/3 sand or perlite
Culture: bright at approx. 10-15°C + keep constant slightly moist
Overwintering: Older specimens bright at approx. 5-10°C and just in larger intervals and small quantities so much to water that the root ball not dries out completely.
Note: drought-tolerant!
