laubabwerfender Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis zu 6 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, gestielten, breit ovalen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern und auslaufender Spitze. Die grünlich-weißen Blüten mit rötlichen Flecken erscheinen in dichten Rispen direkt am Holz (Kauliflorie). Aus den Früchten entwickeln sich bis zu 10 cm lange, bei Reife gelbe Früchte mit eßbarem Fruchtfleisch

Pre-Treatment: Soak in 10% chloride with 90% water
Sowing Time: all year round
Sowing Deep: ca. 1/2 into substrate + 1/2 uncovered
Sowing Mix: Cactus- or sowing mix + 2/3 sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 25°C+
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: until germination takes place
Irrigation: in the growing season regularly water
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: bright at approx. 15-20°C + keep constantly moist
Overwintering: Older specimens bright at approx. 15°C, and just so much to water that the root ball not dries out completely.
Note: If you notice first sign of rot sprinkle with a small amount of sulphur only on the area
