laubabwerfender, verholzender, hoher Strauch bis zu 5 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, langgestielten, großen, kreisförmigen, palmenartigen Blättern, bestehend aus bis zu 3-9, bs zu 18 cm langen un 4 cm langen lanzettlichen, blau-grünen, am Rand leicht gesägten Blättchen. Die gestielten, glockenförmigen, grünlich-weißen Blüten mit rötlichen Zeichnungen und herausragenden Staubgefäßen erscheinen in Rispen in den Blattachseln oder am Ende der Triebe

Propagation: Seeds/Cuttings
Pre-Treatment: soak ca. 12-24 h in lukewarm water
Stratification: ca. 4-6 weeks in moist sowing mix at 0-5°C in the fridge
Sowing Time: all year round
Sowing Deep: ca. 1 cm
Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Alternative: in fall/winter sowing in unheated greenhouse
Germination Temperature: ca. 20-25°C
Location: bright + keep constant slightly moist, not wet
Germination Time: until germination takes place
Irrigation: in the growing season moderate water
Fertilization: monthly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: cactus or potting soil + 2/3 sand or perlite
Culture: bright at approx. 15-20ºC + keep slightly moist only
Overwintering: Older specimens bright or dark at approx. 10-15°C, and according to ambient temperature to water only in larger intervals and in small amounts that the root ball not dries out completely.
Note: drought-tolerant!
