rhizombildender, laubabwerfender, krautiger Ranker bis zu 3 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, langen, schmalen, sattgrünen Blättern. Die röhrenförmigen, 6-petaligen, außen rot oder pinkfarbenen, innen dunkel gepunkteten Blüten erscheinen mit bis zu 10 Einzelblüten in hängenden Dolden am Ende der Zweige
