immergrüner Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis zu 18 m (in Kübelkultur bis zu 3 m) mit ausladender, rundlicher Krone und wechselständig angeordneten Blättern, bestehend aus gegenständig angeordneten, ovalen bis breit lanzettlichen, tiefgrünen Blättchen mit weißem zu rosafarbenem Neuaustrieb in langen, schlaff herabhängenden Quasten (Laubausschüttung), die sich dann in grüne Blätter verwandeln. Die großen Blütendolden bestehen aus zahlreichen, dicht gedrängten, weißen Einzelblüten mit weit herausragenden, gelben Staubblättern und erscheinen am Ende der Triebe mit braunen Hochblättern

Propagation: Seeds/Cuttings
Sowing Time: all year round > only fresh seeds germinate reliably
Sowing Deep: press ca. 1/2 into substrate + 1/2 uncovered
Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Alternative: in a zip bag with slightly damp coir > until germination takes place
Germination Temperature: ca. 25-28°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 1-3 weeks
Irrigation: in the growing season richly water
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Scale insects, White fly, Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + clay + sand or perlite
Culture: hell bei ca. 20-25°C + konstant leicht feucht halten + hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit
Overwintering: Older specimens bright at approx. 15-20°C and according to ambient temperature keep the root ball slightly moist always and pay attention to increased humidity!
Note: As soon as the seedlings are small young plants they should be repotted into larger container, because Maniltoa blossoms only in large pots.
