laubabwerfender oder auch immergrüner, dichtbelaubter Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis ca. 4 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, ca. 40 cm langen unpaarig gefiederten Blättern, bestehend paarig angeordneten, ca. 15 cm langen, lanzettlichen, tiefgrünen, am Rand gesägten Blättchen und einem endständigen Blatt. Die bis zu 8 cm großen orange-roten, trompetenfömigen Blüten erscheinen in dichten Büscheln am Ende der Triebe

Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: bright at approx. 10-15°C + keep constantly moist
Overwintering: Older specimens bright or dark (deciduous at lower temperatures) at approx. 5-10°C and according to ambient temperature only so much water that the root ball not dries out completely.
Note: regular pruning promotes better branching
