in der Trockenzeit laubabwerfender, kurzstämmiger, dorniger Baum bis zu 10 m mit dichter, ausladender Krone und weit überhängenden Ästen und bis zu 4 cm langen, ovalen bis länglich ovalen, oberseits glänzend grau-grünen, unterseits helleren Blättern. Die kleinen, hellgelben-grünlichen Blüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln, aus denen sich ca. 4 cm lange und 3 cm breite, süßlich duftende Früchte entwickeln

Pre-Treatment: shortly disinfect in 3% hydro peroxide solution for 30 min. + soak in the dark for 4 days + renew water daily
Sowing Time: all year round

Sowing Mix: Coir or vermiculite
Germination Temperature: ca. 26°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 2-6 weeks
Irrigation: in the growing season moderate water
Fertilization: monthly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: cactus or potting soil + 2/3 sand or perlite
Culture: bright at approx. 20°C + keep constant slightly moist
Overwintering: Older specimens bright at approx. 10-15°C, and according to ambient temperature just so much to water that the root ball not dries out completely.
Note: Seeds with thinner shell will germinate faster than with a thick shell
