laubabwerfender, dichtverzweigter, kleiner Strauch bis zu 1 m mit dornigen Zweigspitzen und kleinen, schmalen tiefgrünen Blättern. Die weißen, pink- oder auch purpurfarbenen Blüten erscheinen in Rispen. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich eßbare, kleine, bei Reife rote Früchte

Overwintering: Older specimens bright at approx. 15-20°C, and according to ambient temperature keep slightly moist always. Temperatures around freezing point will briefly tolerated.
