laubabwerfende, krautige Staude oder Halbstrauch bis zu 80 cm mit großen Pfahlwurzeln und wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 6 cm lange, 3-5-gelappten, hellgrünen Blättern mit rundlich gezahnten Blatträndern. Die bis zu 5 cm großen hell orangefarbenen bis ziegelrot getönten, 5-petaligen Blüten erscheinen in Büscheln in den Blattachseln
