caudexbildender, laubabwerfender Strauch bis ca. 2 m mit sukkulenten, fleischigen, grob gezähnten Blättern die sich aus 3-gelappten blau-grünen, unterseits flaumig behaarten Blättchen zusammen. Die kleinen, grünlich-gelben Blüten sitzen in lockeren, aufrechten Rispen, aus denen sich weinbeerenähnliche, durchsichtige, rote oder gelbe Früchte entwickeln
