immergrüner, kleiner Strauch bis ca. 2 m mit schlanken, ausladenden, seidig behaarten Zweigen und wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 4 cm langen und 2 cm breiten, oftmals 2-gelappten, ovalen oder kugelförmigen, oberseits tiefgrünen, unterseits seidig behaarten Blättern. Die langgestielten, gelben Blüten mit purpurfarbenem Zentrum erscheinen in den Blattachseln

Overwintering: Ältere Exemplare bei ca. 5-10ºC und nur sporadisch in größeren Abständen und kleinen Mengen wässern. Temperaturen um den Gefrierpunkt werden kurzzeitig vertragen.
