immergrüner, kleiner bis mittelgroßer Baum bis ca. 15 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 12 cm langen, lanzettlichen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen, am Rand gezähnten Blättern und glockenförmigen, weißen bis pinkfarbenen Blüten, gefolgt von auffällig blau gefärbten Beeren
Verwendung: Die Samen werden häufig zur Schmuckverabeitung verwendet!
