immergrüner kleiner Baum mit wechselständig angeordneten, länglich elliptischen, ledrigen, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern und auffälliger Nervatur. Die langgestielten, duftendem Blüten erscheinen einzeln in den Blattachseln, gefolgt von kleinen, eßbaren, bis zu 4 cm dicken, bei Reife gelb-grünen, herz-, eiförmigen oder rundlichen, warzigen Früchten mit weißem, cremigen Fruchtfleisch
