laubabwerfender oder halb-immergrüner Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis zu 5 m mit gegenständig, angeordneten, länglich-elliptisch bis elliptisch-lanzettlich oder linear-länglichen, ca. 9,5 cm langen und 2 cm breiten, am Rand gewellten, tiefgrünen Blättern. Die trichterförmigen, strahlend orange-roten oder gelben Blüten mit breitem Schlund und herausragenden Staubbeuteln erscheinen in bis zu 7-blütigen dichten Büscheln am Ende der Triebe

Sowing Instruction
Propagation: Seeds/Cuttings
Sowing Time: all year round
Sowing Deep: cover only slightly with substrate
Sowing Mix: Coir, Cactus- or sowing mix + 2/3 sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 25°C+
Location: bright + keep constant slightly moist, not wet
Irrigation: in the growing season moderate water + let dry between watering
Fertilization: monthly 0,1%ig or long-term-fertilizer
Pests: Aphids, Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: Cactus- or potting soil + 1/3 sand + 1/3 gravel or perlite
Culture: bright at approx. 10-15°C + keep evenly slightly moist
Overwintering: Older specimens bright or dark at approx. 5-10°C and just in larger intervals and small quantities so much water that the root ball not dries out completely. During the leafless time keep almost dry.
Note: wind-, fire and drought-tolerant!
