laubabwerfender oder immergrüner, dornenloser Baum bis zu 15 m mit grauer Rinde und wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 30 cm langen Blättern, die sich aus 3 bis zu 15 cm langen und 10 cm breiten, tiefgrünen Blättchen und einem endständigen Blatt zusammensetzen. Die bis zu 8 cm langen und 3,5 cm breiten, korallenroten Blüten erscheinen mit bis zu 10 Einzelblüten an bis zu 30 cm langen endständigen hängenden Trauben

Pre-Treatment: scarify/roughen + soak ca. 24-48 h in lukewarm water, repeat the procedure for non-swollen seed

Sowing Mix: Coir, cactus soil or sowing mix + 2/3 sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 25°C+
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 2-4 weeks
Irrigation: in the growing season richly water
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites, Scale insects > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: in the 1st year bright at least 15ºC + keep until formed first wood + should be watered only drop by drop
Overwintering: Older specimens bright or dark at approx. 10-15°C, and according to ambient temperature to water only in larger intervals and in small amounts that the root ball not dries out completely.
