immergrüner, dichtverzweigter Strauch mit wechselständig angeordneten, hängenden, meist rundlichen, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern mit gezahnten Blatträndern. Die ca. 2 cm großen, leuchtend gelben Blüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln, gefolgt von sehr dekorativen, bei Reife gelblich-braunen Früchten
