immergrüner kleiner Baum oder Strauch bis 5 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 14 cm langen, lanzettlichen bis elliptischen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen, am Rand gezähnten Blättern. Die bis zu 11 cm großen, duftenden, weißen, schalenförmige Blüten mit bis zu 8 Kronblättern und zahlreichen gelben Staubgefäßen erscheinen in den Blattachseln, gefolgt von rundlichen, eiförmigen oder abgeflachten Früchten

Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 22-25°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 4-6 weeks
Irrigation: in the growing season richly water
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: acid potting soil or Rhododendron substrate + sand or perlite
Culture: hell bei ca. 10-15°C + konstant feucht halten
Overwintering: Older specimens bright at approx. 5-10°C, and just so much water that the root ball not dries out completely. Temperatures around freezing point are well tolerated.
