immergrüner, pyramidenförmiger, dicht belaubter Baum bis zu 20 m (seltener bis zu 30 m) mit gegenständig angeordneten, bis zu 20 cm langen und 11,5 cm breiten, ovalen, ledrigen, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern und heller Mittelrippe. Die intensiv duftenden, 6-petaligen, weißen Blüten mit herausragenden goldenen Staubfäden erscheinen in dichten Büscheln mit bis zu 15 Einzelblüten am Zweigende, gefolgt von runden, hellgrünen Früchten in Trauben
