laubabwerfender, offenkroniger Baum bis ca. 15 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, gestielten, bis zu 15 cm langen, ledrigen, ovalen bis breit lanzettlichen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen, unterseits leicht behaarten Blättern. In den Blattachseln erscheinen, kleine, ca. 1 cm große, männliche, gelblich-weiße Blüten in Büscheln, weibliche hingegen sind ca. 3 cm groß und erscheinen in Einzelblüten, gefolgt von eßbaren, saftigen, runden bis ovalen, bei Reife gelbe-orangeroten, ca. 8-9 cm großen Früchte mit einer glatten glänzenden Schale

Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 22-25°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: until germination takes place
Irrigation: in the growing season moderate water
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: cactus or potting soil + 2/3 sand or perlite
Culture: hell bei ca. 10-15°C + nur leicht feucht halten
Overwintering: Older specimens bright or dark at approx. 0-5°C, and only sporadically so much water that the root ball remains slightly moist. In mild areas can be planted in a sheltered, sunny position outdoors.
Note: drought-tolerant!
