immergrüner, mehrstämmiger Kletterstrauch oder kleiner Baum mit wechselständig angeordneten, oftmals hängenden, beidseitig zart behaarten, ovalen bis lanzettlichen, tiefgrünen Blättern mit leicht gezähnten Blatträndern. Die strahlend weißen Blüten erscheinen paarweise in den Blatachseln, denen bei Reife orange-rote Früchte folgen
