immergrüner oder laubabwerfender, kleiner Baum bis zu 10 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, eiförmigen, ledrigen, tiefgrünen Blättern mit langgezogener Spitze. Die gestielten, dickfleischigen, gelblichen Blüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich eßbare, gestielte, bei Reife goldgelbe Früchte mit angenehmen, süßem Geschmack.
Diese Art ist selten zu finden und bisher noch nicht in Kultur !
