zwiebelbildende, laubabwerfende, kleine Pflanze bis zu 45 cm mit meist nur einem, tiefgrünen Blatt. Die irisähnlichen, großen gelben, creme oder hell ziegelroten, manchmal zweifarbig getönten Blüten mit rötlichen Zeichnungen erscheinen an langen, aufrechten Stengeln

Sowing Instruction
Propagation: Seeds/Bulbs
Sowing Time: all year round > spring preferred
Sowing Deep: cover only slightly with substrate
Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 10-20°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 4-6 weeks
Irrigation: in the growing season moderate water + let dry between watering
Fertilization: monthly 0,1%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + 2/3 sand, gravel or perlite
Culture: ca. 2-3 years bright at approx. 5-10ºC in unheated greennhouse + keep only slightly moist
Overwintering: Older specimens bright at approx. 0-5°C, and just so much water that the root ball not dries out completely. Keep dry during the leafless time.
