immergrüner oder halbimmergrüner Baum mit wechselständig angeordneten Blättern, die sich aus doppelt gefiederten, verkehrt eiförmigen, tiefgrünen Blättchen zusammensetzen. Die langgestielten, großen pinselartigen Blütenköpfe mit tief eingeschnittenen grünen Kelchblättern werden von unzähligen, langen, weißen Staubfäden überragt und erscheinen in den Blattachseln
