immergrüner Baum bis zu 7 m (selten bis zu 20 m) mit ausladender, schirmförmiger Krone, wechelständig angeordneten Blättern, bestehend aus paarig angeordneten, bis zu 8 cm langen und 3 cm breiten, elliptischen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen, am Rand leicht gewellten Blättchen mit langgezogener Spitze. Der Neuaustrieb mit zart behaarten, weichen Blättern. Die süßlich duftenden, strahlend weißen Blüten erscheinen einzeln oder paarweise in den Blattachseln. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich köstlich duftende, weiche, eßbare, grüne, bis zu 6 cm breite, leicht abgeflachte, bei Reife gelblich-grüne, saftige Früchte mit dünner Schale und weißem Fruchtfleisch mit angenehm, säuerlichem oder bittersüßem Geschmack

Overwintering: Older specimens bright at approx. 10-15°C, and just so much to water that the root ball not dries out completely.
Note: Can bear fruits in only 3-4 years!
