immergrüner, kleiner Strauch bis ca. 1 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 4 cm langen, tief gelappten, sattgrünen Blättern mit unregelmäßig gezähnten Blatträndern. Die langgestielten, ca. 3 cm großen, gelben Blüten erscheinen einzeln in den Blattachseln
