immergrüner Baum mit langgestielten, immens großen, tiefgrünen, am Rand gesägten Blättern und auffälliger Nervatur. Die kurzgestielten, 5-petaligen, gelblich-weißen Blüten erscheinen in Büscheln direkt am Stamm bis auf Bodenhöhe. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich eßbare, ca. 8 cm große, bräunliche Früchte mit süßem, kaum faserigem Fruchtfleisch
