immergrüner, zweihäusiger hoher Baum bis zu 40 m mit zylindrischem dicken Stamm bis zu 70 cm ø, spiralförmig angeordneten, langgestielten Blättern, bestehend gegenständig angeordneten, unpaarig gefiederten bis zu 15 cm langen und 5 cm, breit ovalen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen, unterseits matt braun behaarten Blättchen mit auffällig heller Nervatur. Die kleinen hellgelben Blüten erscheinen in achselständigen, verzweigten Rispen, denen bis zu 2,5 cm lange, silbrig grüne Steinfrüchte in hängen Rispen folgen
