immergrüner bis halb-immergrüner, mittelgroßer bis hoher Baum bis ca. 35 m mit dickem, weiß-gelb-orangefarben gepudertem Stamm, dichter, ausladender Krone und wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 17 cm langen un bis 15 cm breiten, fast kreisrunden, rauhen, tiefgrünen Blättern. Die kleinen grünlichen Blüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln als auch entlang der älteren Zweige, gefolgt von ca. 5 cm großen, eßbaren, bei Reife rötlich-gelben Früchten (Feigen)
