immergrüner, kleiner Strauch bis zu 2,5 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 10 cm langen und 1,5 cm breiten, linearen, sattgrünen, am Rand gesägten Blättern. Die mit dickem Nektar führenden, ca. 12 cm breiten, gelben, orange- oder hellbraunen aufrechten Blütenstände erscheinen am Ende der Triebe
