immergrüner, verholzender Kletterstrauch oder kleiner Baum mit wechselständig angeordneten ca. 12 cm langen und 6 cm breiten, elliptischen, ledrigen, glänzend grau-grünen Blättern mit auffälliger Nervatur. Die langgestielten, bis zu 3 cm großen, grünen Blüten mit 6 Petalen erscheinen einzeln oder in 2-3-blütigen Büscheln in den Blattachseln oder am Ende der Triebe, aus denen sich haarige, orange-braune Früchte entwickeln
