immergrüner bis teilweise laubabwerfender Ranker bis zu 10 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, ca. 12 cm langen und 6 cm breiten, (seltener bis zu 15 cm lang und 8 cm breit) breit eiförmigen, dreieckigen bis speerförmigen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen, unterseits grau-grünen, leicht behaarten Blättern. Die bis zu 3 cm großen, trichterförmigen, zart duftenden, weißen Blüten mit zart pinkfarbener Zeichnung im Schlund erscheinen an einem Blütenstand mit bis zu 5 Einzelblüten in den Blattachseln - Schmetterlingspflanze!
