schnellwüchsiger, laubabwerfender, mittelgroßer bis hoher, zweihäusiger Baum bis zu 15 m mit ausladender, rundlichen Krone und wechselständig angeordneten oder auch am Ende der Triebe gehäuft angeordneten Blättern, bestehend aus ca. 25 cm langen und 15 cm breiten, 11-23 paarig angeordneten, länglich-ovalen bis elliptischen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen, unterseits bläulich-grünen, deutlich helleren Blättchen mit heller Mittelrippe und einem endständigen Blatt. Die strahlend gelben, zart pinkfarben getönten Blüten mit roten zurückgebogenen Kelchblättern erscheinen in unverzweigten, endständigen Rispen oftmals vor dem Neuaustrieb, denen duftende eßbare, mirabellengroße, runde oder ovale, fleischige, bei Reife gelbe bis goldgelbe Früchte folgen
