laubabwerfender, sukkulenter Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis zu 1,8 m mit 4 bis 5-kantigem Stamm und rötlich gestielten, lanzettlichen, bis zu 15 cm langen und 6,5 cm breiten, tiefgrünen, meist weiß geäderten Blättern, die gehäuft am Ende der Triebe erscheinen. Die kleinen, unscheinbaren Blüten, umhüllt von einem becherförmigen Hüllblatt, erscheinen in den Blattachseln. Diese Art ist bereits an ihrem Naturstandort gefährdet!
