laubabwerfender, ausladender Baum bis ca. 15 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, ca. 25 cm langen und bis zu 18 cm breiten, tiefgrünen, herzförmigen, unterseits zart behaarten Blättern. Die bis zu 4 cm langen, süßlich duftenden, weißen Blüten mit 2 orangefarbenen Streifen und purpurfarbenen Tupfen auf der Innenseite erscheinen an bis zu 30 cm langen, aufrechten, endständigen Rispen

Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: im 1.+2. Jahr hell oder dunkel bei ca. 0-5ºC + nur soviel wässern, daß der Wurzelballen nicht völlig austrocknet.
Overwintering: Mature specimens can be planted in a sunny, sheltered position outdoors.
Note: Do not bend! The embryo resides in the centre of the seed.
