immergrüner, hoher Baum bis zu 34 m mit ausladender Krone und gegenständig oder auch wirtelig angeordneten, länglich ovalen, tiefgrünen Blättchen mit langgezogener Spitze. Die strahlend gelben Blüten erscheinen in langgestielten, aufrechten, dichten Blütenständen am Ende der Triebe
