immergrüner, buschiger Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis zu 10 m mit wechselständig angeordneten ca. 12 cm langen und 2,5 cm breiten, elliptischen, duftenden, oberseits tiefgrünen, unterseits silbrigen Blättern. Die 1,5 cm großen, weißen, 5-petaligen Blüten mit herausragenden Staubgefäßen erscheinen in Büscheln am Ende der Triebe
