halbimmergrüner bis laubabwerfender, kleiner, oftmals tiefverzweigter Baum bis zu 10 m mit ausladender Krone und brauner rissiger Rinde, junge Zweige und Äste mit glatter, grauer Rinde und wechselständig angeordneten, doppelt gefiederten Blättern, die sich aus bis zu 23, ca. 0,7 cm langen und 0,2 cm breiten, oberseits tiefgrünen, unterseits helleren Fiederblätten zusammensetzen. Die goldgelben Blüten mit gekräuselten Blütenblättern erscheinen in endständigen, dichten, ca. 15 cm hohen, aufrechten Rispen und verströmen einen süßlichen Duft

Germination Temperature: ca. 22-25°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 1-2 weeks
Irrigation: in the growing season regularly water
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: ca. 3 years bright at approx. 5-10ºC in unheated greennhouse + keep only slightly moist
Overwintering: After this time period older specimens bright at approx. 0-5°C, and according to ambient temperature always just so much to water that the root ball not dries out completely. Peltophorum can withstand moderate frost with protection in the first years.
Note: drought-tolerant! Bonsai suitable!
