immergrüner Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis ca. 5 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, langgestielten, großen, zart behaarten, sattgrünen Blättern und glockenförmigen, weißen Blüten in endständigen, dichten Büscheln. Manchmal weisen die Blüten auch ein tief rosafarbenes Zentrum auf.
