immergrüner oder auch laubabwerfender bis zu 10 m mit ausladender, dichter, runder Krone und wechselständig angeordneten, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern, zusammengesetzt aus bis zu 6 cm langen und 3 cm breiten, elliptischen, 3-5-paarigen Blättchen mit bronzefarbenem Neuaustrieb. Die weißen Blüten mit weißen Staubfäden erscheinen in lockeren, dichten Büscheln am Ende der Triebe
