laubabwerfender Strauch oder Baum bis ca. 8 m mit schirmförmige Krone und überhängenden, bedornten Zweigen mit wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 40 cm langen gefiederten Blättchen, die sich aus bis zu 60 gegenständig angeordneten, kleinen, tiefgrünen Blättchen zusammensetzen. Die intensiv duftenden, ca. 2,5 cm großen, gelben, 5-petaligen Blüten mit nur einem orangefarben gezeichnetem Blütenblatt und herausragenden Staubfäden erscheinen an bis zu 20 cm langen, überhängenden Trauben

Germination Temperature: ca. 25-28°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 2-4 weeks
Irrigation: in the growing season moderate water + protect the root bale from heavy rain
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig with cactus fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: cactus or potting soil + 2/3 sand or perlite
Culture: bright at approx. 15-20°C + keep constant slightly moist
Overwintering: Older specimens bright or dark at around 5-10°C and water only sporadically in larger intervals and small quantities, keep dry during the leafless time. Temperatures around freezing point are well tolerated.
Note: drought-tolerant!
