schnellwüchsiger, mehrjähriger, immergrüner, verholzender Ranker bis zu 20 m mit knolligen Wurzeln und langstieligen, 5-7 fingerförmig gelappten, tiefgrünen Blättern und bronzefarbenem Neuaustrieb. Die langgestielten, trichterförmigen, ca. 6 cm breiten, leuchtend gelben Blüten mit dunkel goldgelben Schlund erscheinen einzeln oder in Büscheln mit bis zu 3-9 Einzelblüten, gefolgt von holzigen Samenkapseln, die den einer getrockneten, holzigen Rose ähneln
