caudexbildender, laubabwerfender Baum bis zu 15 m mit hellgrauer Rinde, wechselständig angeordneten, halbsukkulenten, langgestielten, bis zu 19 cm langen und 9 cm breiten, eiförmigen bis lanzettlichen, an der Basis herzförmigen, tiefgrünen, unterseits feinfilzig behaarten Blättern (im Jugendstadium alle Teile filzig behaart). Die trichterförmigen, ca. 6 cm ø großen weißen bis creme-weißen Blüten mit grünlicher Kronröhre erscheinen in vielblütigen Büscheln in den Blattachseln und am Ende der Triebe

Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: hell bei mind. 10-15ºC + konstant leicht feucht halten
Overwintering: Older specimens bright at approx. 5-10°C and just in larger intervals and small quantities so much to water that the root ball not dries out completely.
